Grab a blanket and your comfiest lawn chair and spend a summer night during your trip listening to some fantastic local acts and regional artists. All of the towns nearby, including Banner Elk offer a concert series that are a wonderful way to unwind and enjoy time with friends and family. Most of the series’ begin in May and are held through the summer during a regular day of the week. Cornerstone Rentals cabins in Banner Elk are located minutes from all of the spots to enjoy concerts including Tate-Evans Park, in the town of Banner Elk, which is the closest. Admission to most all of these events is free, a few request donations in lieu of admission prices; if you have questions it’s best to contact the town or local chamber hosting the concert if you have questions.
Here’s some information on what’s happening and when:
Banner Elk – The Banner Elk concerts in the park are a huge hit every summer season drawing large crowds on the grounds of Tate-Evans Park. The concerts are held on Thursday evenings and start at 6:30 pm.
Newland – The town hosts the Friday night River Walk Concert Series that brings local acts to downtown Newland. Newland is a short drive away from our Banner Elk rentals.
Valle Crucis – Music in the Valle is a huge hit with locals and those that venture over to the community of Valle Crucis to check out the historic Mast General Store (the original) and Candy Barrel. Concerts take place on Friday nights and usually start at 7 pm.
